- New on-screen notification on iOS if the app is closed during a sync. This will alert the user to re-open the app in order for the sync to continue. Tapping the notification will re-open the app.
What’s Improved:
- Forwarded records now only received on recipients device once all media uploaded from originators device.
- For forwarded records, if originator makes an update, the update will now show on recipients device.
- Memory improvements displaying photos in carousel, instead of scaling down full size images in the carousel, thumbnails now generated and shown instead. This prevents the carousel using too much memory.
- Improved ‘Calculation – Numeric’ field type, now displays ‘Sum’ calculations when fields are exposed via Data Collector rules.

- This release adds additional functionality to both ‘Calculation’ and ‘Timer’ field types. ‘Calculation’ fields can be added together across ‘Repeating Sections’, and ‘Timer’ fields will now accept inputs from ‘Calculation’ fields to set countdown time.

We are pleased to announce version 2.0 of AppCan XP, which introduces many new features and improvements, as below:
- New Version Alert – After upgrading to version 2.0 of AppCan XP, when a subsequent new version of AppCan XP is released, you will be notified (via a popup message on the logon screen) that an upgrade is available.
- App List ‘Options’ – ‘Settings’ at the top of the Apps list has changed to ‘Options’. This now provides options for Manual Sort, Sort A to Z and Hide / Show Data Collectors.
- ‘Remove’ Document Distributors – You can remove unwanted Document Distributor apps from your apps list, which is particularly useful when unwanted Document Distributor Job Packs (ePacks) are no longer needed.
- New Record Button – You can generate a new Data Collector record within a Document Distributor’s sub folder.
- Assign Document Distributor Apps – Subject to permissions, you can assign Document Distributor apps to users right from your mobile device.
- Select Field Single Tap – A ‘Select’ field now automatically closes the options screen on selection of option.
- Location Fields – After capturing a ‘Location’ field type, the captured location is now maintained.
- Assign Data Collector Apps – Subject to permissions, you can assign Data Collector apps to users right from your mobile device.
- Synchronisation Messages – We have improved synchronisation messages to be more meaningful.

- We have fixed a small issue when deleting a photo from the carousel, it would show 2 ‘Back’ buttons.
- There could be instances where selecting the information ‘i’ button in Alerts or Data Collector apps would not show the attached document. This has now been rectified.
- Creating a Data Collector record via the download arrow within a document, record shown as green cloud when created, now shown correctly as a red cloud.
- Minor Filing From Site bug fixes around cloud colours and forwarding arrows.

- File From Site document name now shows the submitted Date/Time in the document name, instead of created date/time.

- On download of a Data Collector record via a document, a spinner is now shown during download of record, and on successful download the user is taken to the associated Data Collector app.
- The font of the data responses in Data Collector apps has been increased to make it easier to read in sunlight. All filenames are now shown in bold font, and mandatory fields are now shown with a red asterisk.
- Select and Multiple Select options now have increased field heights for easier selection of the required option.
