The Map functionality allows users to display GPS locations on a Google Map.
To use this feature, the Data Collector app must have a field type that obtains GPS coordinates, such as a Photo, Signature, or Location field.
- Access Levels:
- By default, the Maps functionality is enabled for Super Users.
- To enable Maps for other users, you can create a Custom Access Level or add the ‘MAPs’ permission to an existing Access Level.
- Default Fields Available on Map Pins:
- When you click a pin location on the map, the Submitted By, Submitted Date/time, and Header Pin fields are available by default.
- Configuring Additional Fields:
- You can customise which additional fields are shown when clicking on a pin.
- In the Data Collector App builder:
- Select the three-dot icon next to the field you want to include.
- Choose the ‘Maps’ option.
- Select ‘Show data on map pin’ and confirm your selection.
- Once the Data Collector App is published, the chosen fields will be displayed when interacting with map pins.
Note:
The Maps option is not available for selection with Header Pin, Photo, Signature, or Location Fields.
