Server Side Notifications (Push Notifications)

Push notifications are now available in AppCan. The notifications will include the following:

  1. When a data collector record is forwarded between mobile users (M2M)
  2. When a data collector record is sent or scheduled from cloud (P2M)
  3. When an alert is sent to mobile user(s)

Configuring Push Notifications

You can choose which Data Collector(s) send notifications and these can be configured by following the guidance below:

  • Enable ‘Enable Server Side Notifications’ in ‘Data Collector Options’
  • Select ‘Confirm’ at bottom of modal
  • Publish the Data Collector App

When the notification is received by the mobile app, it will initiate a sync of the related record. Once the sync has completed, the notification will be displayed to the user. Upon tapping the notification, the app will open on the record.

Please ensure Notifications are enabled for the AppCan XP mobile app
